Australia Considers Legislating Against ‘Online Abuse of Public Figures’

The Labor government has opened a public consultation on the Online Safety Act to ‘keep Australians safe.’ The Albanese Labor government is considering broadening the Online Safety Act to include online hate and artificial intelligence.
