John Curtis was focused, and with good reason. Facing elimination, the Patriots’ backs were against the wall in Game 2 of their Division I select state quarterfinal baseball series against Brother Martin. Starting pitcher Dagan Bruno and his battery mates responded by banging out 13 hits and completely turning the tables on the Crusaders in recording a 16-2 victory Friday night at Mike Miley Stadium to even the series at 1-1. The game was moved to Miley from Harahan Playground after rain earlier on Friday made Curtis’ home diamond unplayable....
