Elon stops William & Mary in baseball doubleheader opener

Elon defeated William & Mary 8-3 Friday in the opener of a doubleheader in North Carolina. The Phoenix (18-26, 7-12 Coastal Athletic Association) led 3-1 before all but sealing their victory with a five-run eighth inning.
