John Curtis has a senior whose latest high jump was the best in the state

John Curtis senior Kyron Sumler will arrive at the LHSAA track and field championships Saturday already certain he can clear 7 feet in the high jump. The reason for that certainty: He did it last week. Sumler, a UL track and field signee, cleared that height when he won at an LHSAA regional track and field meet at Hahnville, making him the state’s leader in that event among jumpers in all classifications.
