MYRTLE BEACH — After a report from The Post and Courier in February on the Myrtle Beach area likely getting its first-ever PGA Tour event, plans for the event have been formalized. PGA Tour and Myrtle Beach area officials confirmed on May 10 that the Myrtle Beach Classic, a PGA Tour FedExCup event, will debut in 2024 at Myrtle Beach’s Dunes Golf and Beach Club on a four-year agreement featuring a $3.9 million purse.
