Tractor-trailer rollover spills thousands of pineapples on route 495 in Westford

A tractor-trailer crash in Westford on Saturday morning led to a massive fruit spill.

Massachusetts State Police responded to the northbound side of route 495 for a two-vehicle crash.

The collision caused a tractor-trailer to rollover off the side of the road, spilling thousands of pineapples onto the brush, according to officials.

Police closed two lanes on 495 north to clean up the debris.

The driver was taken to Lowell General Hospital with minor injuries.
