FAA seeks more data from Boeing before approving 737 MAX 9 inspections

The Federal Aviation Administration said Friday it is requiring Boeing to provide more data before it approves a set of inspection instructions that would allow grounded 737 MAX 9 to return to the skies. The FAA said Friday it would not approve Boeing’s proposed inspection instructions until the regulatory agency reviewed the data from the first round of 40 inspections. “We are working to make sure nothing like this happens again,” FAA Administrator Mike Whitaker said. “Our only concern is the safety of American travelers.” The FAA grounded the 737...
