Explosion investigation unit at scene of Bridgeport oil company, officials say

BRIDGEPORT — State police said the agency's Fire and Explosion Investigative Unit has been requested to assist the Bridgeport fire marshal's office Friday afternoon after an incident at Standard Oil on Bishop Avenue.
Photos on social media showed a large column of smoke rising into the air over the city.
