Sources: Sixers star Embiid out for G1 vs. Celtics

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid has been ruled out of Game 1 vs. the Boston Celtics on Monday night due to the sprained LCL in his right knee, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

There is optimism of a possible return for Game 2 on Wednesday, sources said.

Embiid suffered the injury nearly two weeks ago during the Sixers' first-round series against the Brooklyn Nets.
