One killed in Algiers shooting, New Orleans police say

One person was killed in an Algiers area shooting Monday night, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
Police were called at 7:34 p.m. to the 1500 block of Teche Street, where they found a wounded person. Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital, where the victim died.
Police did not immediately release more information.
