Rain and snow could linger into Sunday in Sacramento region, so prepare for slick roads

The National Weather Service reported that the Sacramento region can expect rain, snow, gusty winds and even some isolated thunderstorms today and lingering into Sunday. Sacramento meteorologist Idamis Shoemaker said that a weak weather system will bring 1/2 to 1 inch of rain in the valley and 1-2 inches of mountain snow along both the Interstate 80 and Highway 50 corridors.
