Report: Eagles signing QB who had brief stint with Patriots

A former New England Patriots quarterback will get a chance to compete for the backup role in the NFC East. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Will Grier signed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles. Grier will compete with Kenny Pickett — who was traded to Philadelphia by the Pittsburgh Steelers — and Tanner McKee to be Jalen Hurts’ backup. Originally drafted by the Carolina Panthers in 2019, Grier also spent time with the Dallas Cowboys and the Bengals before New England signed him from Cincinnati’s practice squad last season....
