For three hours on Friday the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena was filled with walls of purple and roars of “let’s go Lopes.” {%%note} {/%%note} The matchup between Grand Canyon University and Saint Mary’s was the most attended basketball game of any of Spokane’s NCAA Tournament round one matchups, and the crowd energy was electric.
