Noteworthy items during the Mets’ Grapefruit League action on Saturday: Michael Tonkin, a candidate for a spot in the Mets’ bullpen, pitched two scoreless innings in the Mets’ 6-1 exhibition victory over the Astros in West Palm Beach, Fla. The right-hander allowed one hit and one walk with two strikeouts. He has not surrendered an earned run in his four appearances this spring. Mark Vientos went 0-for-4 at the plate with four strikeouts. He’s struck out 14 times in 41 at-bats this spring with three homers and a .624 OPS....
