Lowcountry high school working to educate teens on safer driving

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - Wando High School will host a hands-on learning experience to educate students about the dangers of distracted driving. Motor vehicle crashes continue to be the number one cause of death among teens in the United States. The South Carolina Department of Public Safety reports that a teen driver is involved in a collision that kills or injures someone every 1.4 hours in the state.
