The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Florida’s request to import cheaper medicines from Canada, a decision that has been met with criticism from Canadian pharmaceutical companies. The FDA’s decision will allow Florida to import drugs to treat various conditions, such as HIV, prostate cancer, and mental illnesses, among others. However, each medication will need to be approved by regulators.
