Ex-QB Favre to testify in Mississippi welfare case

The Mississippi Department of Human Services has filed notice of its intent to depose former NFL quarterback Brett Favre as part of its civil lawsuit seeking to recover millions of dollars in misspent welfare funds. In a court filing Monday, the agency's notice said its lawyers were scheduled to take Favre's sworn testimony beginning Oct. 26 in Hattiesburg, Miss.
