The Detroit Lions have announced a series of interesting transactions just a day ahead of the preseason opener against the New York Giants. To start, the franchise formally announced the acquisition of veteran quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. He is expected to serve as the immediate backup to Jared Goff this season, making Nate Sudfeld the odd-man out from that role.
