Alabama State Trooper shot following pursuit acted with ‘true courage and heroism,’ ALEA leader says

An Alabama State Trooper is recovering after he was shot in the line of duty following a Sunday-evening pursuit in south Alabama. Authorities on Monday identified the trooper as Cpl. Jeremy Alford.
