Police: Woman killed in St. Paul crash was passenger in stolen vehicle; driver expected to be charged

A 30-year-old woman who died in a crash Monday in St. Paul was a passenger in a stolen vehicle, police said Wednesday. The driver of the vehicle is still being treated at Regions Hospital for injuries from the crash at Cretin Avenue and Mississippi River Boulevard. Police plan to book Devin Chase, 31, into the Ramsey County jail on suspicion of criminal vehicular operation when he’s released from the hospital, according to Sgt. Mike Ernster, a police spokesman.
