Microsoft’s Mistral AI Pact Avoids UK Antitrust Scrutiny

Microsoft Corp.’s partnership with artificial intelligence firm Mistral AI will avoid a UK antitrust probe after the watchdog said it didn’t qualify for an investigation.
The Competition and Markets Authority said Friday that Microsoft hasn’t acquired the ability to “materially influence” Mistral’s commercial policy and the CMA has closed the case.
