Louisville police recover body from Ohio River. What we know

Louisville Metro Police officers found a body in the Ohio River Monday afternoon, about six miles from downtown Louisville. LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis said the department's river unit recovered the body near the 1500 block of Southwestern Parkway. A report of a body floating in the river near a stationary barge was first reported around 3:40 p.m. by a tugboat operator, who then contacted the Coast Guard, Ellis said.
