Ortiz shuts down Secaucus as St. Mary (Ruth.) baseball gets hard-earned win

Jandiel Ortiz pitched four strong innings as St. Mary (Ruth.) held off Secaucus, 9-7, in Rutherford. Ortiz allowed a run on four hits, struck out six and walked three after Secaucus scored six runs in three innings off the first two St. Mary’s pitchers. Sebastian Santana drove in a pair of runs for the Gaels, who totaled 10 hits. Joshua Moreno and Gene Torres also drove in two runs each. The N.J.
