Chipotle will pay nearly $3M to Seattle workers in settlement

Following allegations of violating Seattle’s Secure Scheduling and Paid Sick/Safe Time ordinances, Chipotle Mexican Grill will pay $2.9 million to 1,853 employees across eight Seattle locations in a settlement. The restaurant chain will also pay about $7,300 to the city of Seattle. The settlement of nearly $3 million represents the largest since the city’s Secure Scheduling Ordinance went into effect in July 2017, the Seattle Office of Labor Standards noted in a news release Thursday morning about the investigation.
