The body of a woman who was swept under the ice on Eagle River in December while trying to save her dog was recovered on Sunday, Anchorage police said. Amanda Richmond Rogers, 45, had been walking with her husband along the North Fork Eagle River trail on Dec. 23 when one of their two dogs fell through the ice on the river, her family has said.
