Georgia woman injured Sunday night in crash on Kansas Turnpike in Chase County

MATFIELD GREEN, Kan. (WIBW) - A woman was injured late Sunday in a single-vehicle crash on rain-slickened Interstate 35 along the Kansas Turnpike in Chase County, authorities said. The crash was reported at 9:51 p.m. Sunday on I-35 just north of the turnpike’s Matfield Green service area. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2013 Kia Optima that was northbound on I-35 hydroplaned and struck the barrier wall before entering the ditch.
