Georgia hockey advances in SECHC tournament after 5-4 victory over Alabama

No. 2 Georgia advanced after a 5-4 win over No. 7 Alabama’s combination squad, consisting of ACHA Division I and Division III players, on Friday in the first round of the South Eastern Collegiate Hockey Conference tournament. The Ice Dawgs were originally scheduled to face Vanderbilt in the first-game tournament, but due to logistical roster issues on the Commodore's behalf, the bracket was reworked to have Georgia face off against the Crimson Tide.
