South Dakota House OKs protection against anti-Semitism

PIERRE, S.D. (KELO) — South Dakota lawmakers are deciding whether to formally define anti-Semitism. The state House of Representatives gave its approval 53-14 on Tuesday. HB1076 now heads to the Senate. Governor Kristi Noem supports its passage. Anti-Semitism would be defined as “a certain perception of Jews that may be expressed as hatred toward Jews, including rhetorical and physical acts of antisemitism directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals or their property, or toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities.” The bill’s prime sponsor, Republican Rep.
