Tucson passes prevailing wage ordinance

Firms that contract with the city for public works projects will have to show that their employees are being paid a “prevailing wage,” under an ordinance passed Tuesday by Tucson's city council. The ordinance, which was first proposed by the council in December, passed 6-0.
