BROOKINGS, S.D. — A break in the action didn't affect the North Dakota State softball team, which closed out a 3-0 first-round victory over Kansas City on Thursday in a Summit League Championship game that was suspended due to lightning on Wednesday. The game was suspended in the bottom of the fifth inning on Wednesday with the Bison leading 2-0. The Bison are scheduled to play Omaha in a quarterfinals game at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
