A new state report presented on Wednesday confirms that student violence and crime in schools increased statewide compared to before the COVID-19 pandemic, and to some extent that was reflected in the numbers for the public schools in Randolph County. But when it comes to the most common types of behavior that results in school disciplinary action, the Randolph and Asheboro schools had a larger jump than the state average.
