FDA says it will ‘rapidly work’ to approve Johnson & Johnson single-dose coronavirus vaccine after advisory panel’s unanimous vote

The Food and Drug Administration said Friday evening that it will “rapidly work” to authorize the Johnson & Johnson single-shot coronavirus vaccine, shortly after an expert committee unanimously recommended the vaccine.

In a statement, the agency said it has notified the company and federal officials involved in vaccine distribution so that they can prepare to ship the vaccine shortly.
