Airline Passengers Dropped by 60 Percent in 2020

The number of passengers who flew on U.S. airlines in 2020 was about 60% less than the year before, according to data from the Department of Transportation released Tuesday.
Domestic flights saw a 58.7% decline in passengers from 2019, while international flights had 70.4% fewer passengers. April had the largest drop (96.1%) from the year before.
