NRA 'out of touch' on gun-control measures, Conn. Sen. Richard Blumenthal says
Sen. Richard Blumenthal, Connecticut Democrat, said Monday that the National Rifle Associations push back against expanded background checks for gun purchasers shows that the group is “out of touch with the overwhelming majority of Americans and most of the groups gun-toting members.
Mr. Blumenthal said in an interview on MSNBC that 90 percent of all Americans and 74 percent of NRA members support background checks.
