Hunter Biden Reportedly Clashes With Father's Aides Amid Mounting Legal Challenges

Hunter Biden’s team has clashed with President Joe Biden’s aides regarding the younger Biden’s legal defense strategy, according to a report from Axios (Lean Left bias). 

The Details: According to Anthony Coley, a former DOJ spokesperson who spoke with Axios, Hunter’s team is pushing for a more combative approach — including planning to create a legal defense fund and hiring a lawyer who previously represented Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner.

For Context: Hunter is mired in multiple legal and political controversies. Federal prosecutors are reportedly nearing a decision on whether to charge him with tax and gun-related violations. Additionally, House Republicans investigating the younger Biden have subpoenaed the FBI for records that a whistleblower said allegedly showed a “criminal scheme” involving “money for policy decisions” by Joe Biden when he was vice president. 

Meanwhile, Hunter is also going to court to reduce his $20,000 per month child support payments to the mother his 4-year-old child. Some Republicans reportedly see the case as an opportunity to gain access to the younger Biden’s financial records; CNN (Lean Left bias) described the mother’s lawyers as “noted Republican activists” previously involved in former President Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election in Wisconsin.
