York County is working on acquiring three parcels amounting to 252 acres to create a new park.
The land in Fairview Township, close to the Pennsylvania Turnpike, would be the first county-owned park in the northern part of the county, according to a story in the York Daily Record.
County officials said that the funding for the estimated $2 million cost would all come from grants.
