Midnight house fire displaces six

The Colorado Springs Fire Department reported responding to a house fire shortly before midnight, marking the start of Friday.
The fire, in the 2800 block of Avondale Drive, was described as a single family dwelling, engulfed by heavy fire.
Shortly after midnight, the fire department posted on social media that all occupants were able to make it out of the building safely, with no reported injuries to residents or firefighters. However, all six will be displaced.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
