High school sports: Nixon resigns at Mooresville, will be Rowan County AD

MOORESVILLE — Joe Nixon informed Mooresville’s football team on Tuesday that he is resigning as head coach. A Catawba graduate who also has been head coach at North Rowan and West Rowan, Nixon will be taking the position of Rowan County athletic director.
