Lincoln woman charged for passing drugs to inmate, officials say

A Lincoln woman was charged Monday after attempting to pass contraband to an inmate incarcerated at the Nebraska State Penitentiary during a visitation last summer, according to court documents. On Aug 24, at about 5:15 p.m., Danielson entered the Nebraska State Penitentiary located at 4201 S. 14th St. to visit an inmate. Danielson was searched in a private room by a corrections officer, passed through a metal detector and had her items scanned by an X-ray machine, according to the probable cause affidavit.
