Attorney General Kris Mayes joined 24 other Democratic attorneys general Friday urging the Supreme Court to uphold emergency room doctors' authority to perform abortions on patients facing critical medical situations. The coalition presented its case to the Court through an amicus brief for a case examining whether Idaho's near-total abortion ban clashes with the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA).
