Former Mass. college athlete charged in 2021 sexual assault of student on campus

A former Wheaton College men’s lacrosse player has been charged in connection with sexually assaulting and choking a female lacrosse player in a dorm room in 2021, according to court documents. Court documents show that 22-year-old Darien, Connecticut, resident Oliver La Du pleaded not guilty to two counts of indecent assault and battery on a person over 14 and one count of strangulation or suffocation in Attleboro District Court on Tuesday.
