CDC: Amid sharp rise in syphilis cases, regular testing recommended for many Alaskans

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - A rising number of syphilis cases in Alaska is prompting a strong recommendation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that most Alaskan adults under age 45 receive testing for syphilis at least once this year. Alaska has one of the highest rates of syphilis in the country, according to the Alaska Department of Health.
