Amtrak Cascades trains still not running between Portland, Seattle due to landslide
Amtrak said Wednesday that buses would take train passengers between Portland and Seattle as a landslide north of Vancouver blocked the tracks. The Cascades service was suspended Tuesday after an atmospheric river brought heavy rain, flooding and warm winter temperatures to the Pacific Northwest, closing schools and roads as it shattered daily rainfall and temperature records in Washington state.
