US mother sentenced to two years in prison for giving daughter abortion pills

Jessica Burgess, a Nebraska mother accused of helping her teenage daughter use pills to end her pregnancy, was sentenced Friday to two years in prison. Burgess and her daughter, Celeste Burgess, stand accused of working together to end Celeste Burgess’ pregnancy in April 2022.
