Nickel-sized hail expected with thunderstorms to hit Tuscaloosa County Saturday

A report from the National Weather Service was issued on Saturday at 6:07 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 6:45 p.m. for Tuscaloosa County. Expect nickel-sized hail (0.88 inches) and wind gusts of up to 50 mph. "At 6:06 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm over northeastern Tuscaloosa, moving east at 25 mph," according to the weather service.
