Severe storms to bring tornado threat this evening

Waking up this morning cool and relatively dry with temperatures in the 50s and 60s. Today will be a day of rapid changes as a storm system in the upper atmosphere approaches from the west. South winds take over into the afternoon and carry an extremely humid and unstable air mass in through the afternoon. Humidity will rapidly increase, with the afternoon turning muggy over the course of a few hours.
