Mosquito sample collected in Houston tests positive for West Nile

A mosquito sample collected by Harris County Public Health has tested positive for the West Nile virus, according to a social media post by the department. As a proactive measure, the department will be treating, in the evening, the areas where the positive sample was found and the surrounding area.
