Some Flint-area schools decide to close Friday, March 22 in anticipation of snowstorm

A snowstorm expected across the state of Michigan on Friday is causing some area school districts to close on March 23. A winter weather advisory is in effect from 6 a.m. to midnight Friday night in Shiawassee, Genesee, Lapeer, St. Clair, Livingston, Oakland and Macomb counties, according to the National Weather Service. Snow accumulations of two to four inches are expected. Hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute, according to the National Weather Service.
