On December 15, The United States District Court, District of Colorado, declined to issue a temporary restraining order prohibiting the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Colorado Parks and Wildlife )CPW) from reintroducing wolves in Colorado. A last-ditch legal effort by Gunnison area ranchers had asked for a stay of the reintroduction on the grounds that CPW had not adequately studied the impacts on livestock and ranching.
