LANSING, Mich. (WJRT) - State government agencies are required to replace aging vehicles with electric or other zero-emission models under a new director. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signed the order Tuesday, mandating a transition to an entirely zero-emission fleet. All cars and light-duty vehicles must be zero emissions by 2033 while medium and heavy duty vehicles must transition by 2040.
